Gardener's Dictionary: Perennial

Perennial (n.): A container plant with a life cycle of more than two years, including herbaceous plants that produce flowers and seed from the same root structure every year (i.e., bulb flowers that die back every year). Some perennial container plants include calla lily flowers, Boston ferns and bird of paradise flowers.
