Transplanting Aloe Vera

Aloe vera plantI bought a small aloe vera plant and transplanted it from the small container it was in to a larger one, and I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to help it establish and grow. Also, is there anything I should watch out for or avoid doing?

Aloe vera is an easy plant to grow. It's good you transferred it to a larger plant container, but the aloe's roots are very shallow, so they don't really need much room. Aloe plants can take a lot of abuse. Aloe plants can thrive on balcony gardens in deep shade and super bright sunlight, and if you take good care of them, they can multiply or even send up a flower stalk and bloom with yellow flowers. Aloe vera doesn't really get attacked by many pests, but look out for snails in the dirt. Definitely do not throw your aloe plant away if it turns brown and looks like it's dying. It will probably bounce back. Since you just transplanted it into a new plant container, make sure you didn't bury any part of the aloe that is green. It doesn't like its “leaves” touching the dirt, and it will rot away. Other than that, just make sure to not give it too much water and keep it in part shade. You probably don't have to do much else!
